<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate to suppress warpage even when being reserved in a severe condition for a long period or in a high temperature or high temperature/high humidity condition, reduce light leakage in a peripheral part, be excellent in durability and easily peel off from a liquid crystal cell, a method of manufacturing the same and an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate 1 has a polarizing plate protective film, a polarizer and adhesive layers 2a and 2b.
