PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a lamp holder allowing a light source to be preferably attached at a predetermined position, and a lamp holder attachment structure. SOLUTION: The lamp holder 10 can be locked to a liquid crystal device at a predetermined location to thereby allow fluorescent tubes held through a holding section 2 by the lamp holder 10 to be attached at a predetermined location, by engaging first locking sections 31 disposed at both ends of a supporting base section 1 of a lamp holder 10 with predetermined opening sections 51, and pushing a second locking section 32 into a predetermined through hole 52. A lamp holder attachment structure having the lamp holder 10 attached thereto at a predetermined location is provided with a protrusion 53 disposed in the vicinity of the second locking section 32 penetrating through the through-hole 52 from the opposite side. This protrusion 53 is used, as a latch of the second locking section 32, to stop the second locking section 32, thereby preventing the second locking section 32 from being pushed out from the through hole 52.
