PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen container which inexpensively suppresses the evaporation and oxidation of a specimen sample even if the specimen sample is a very small amount to precisely analyze the specimen sample, and to provide an adaptor. SOLUTION: The adaptor 10A for the specimen container 20A is constituted so as to hold the specimen container 20A for housing a liquid specimen sample S and includes a cylindrical part 11A opened at both ends and the joint 13A connected to the sample introducing port 21 of the specimen container 20A formed to the inside wall 12a of the opening 11b at one end of the cylindrical part 11A.
