<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying apparatus capable of decreasing resistance to the closing of an apparatus cover, and to provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When the apparatus cover is closed, an oscillating lever 42 on the apparatus body side is pushed with a pressure lever 43 disposed on the apparatus cover side, and then the oscillating lever 42 is oscillated from a pressure-released position to a pressurizing position. In this process, the direction of a moment applied to the pressure lever 43 from the oscillating lever 42 is switched from the direction in which the pressure lever 43 is pushed downward to the direction in which the pressure lever 43 is pushed upward. As a result, when the pressure lever 43 oscillates the oscillating lever 42 from the pressure-released position to the pressurizing position, it oscillates away from the supporting point around which the oscillating lever 42 is oscillated.
