<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive cup lid which makes it possible to easily, safely, and stably hold content, and prevents lips from getting hot due to the contact of the content to the lid when in use, when the cup molded from paper, a resin, or a biodegradable resin is put with the content and taken away. <P>SOLUTION: A cup lid body A is molded from paper, a resin or a biodegradable resin, is fitted on both internal and external faces of the cup molded from paper, a resin or a biodegradable resin. Its top plate includes an opening B, a projection C and a recess D. Since cuts are partly made in the lid body A, the opening B can easily be opened. However, with the opening B extending upward, the content cannot easily be drunk. In view of this inconvenience, the positions and sizes of the projection C and recess D are made so as to match, as shown in a side view in FIG. 1, when the opening B is opened to drink the content. Thus, with the opening B fixed in position, the content can be drunk.
