PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that since correction of an image is performed by magnification and reduction of the image based on distortion characteristics by a distortion correction method of the image imaged by the conventional lens, an angle of view of the image changes when the image is corrected by image magnification, and when the image is corrected by reduction, pixels which can not be corrected is present. SOLUTION: An image correction device is equipped with: a pixel count part which calculates coordinate positions of each pixel based on a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal of image data in the image imaged via the lens; a distance calculation part which calculates distance between the coordinate positions of each pixel and the center position of an optical axis; an image memory which holds the image data; a distortion amount calculation part which calculates a distortion amount by aberration of the lens based on the distance between each pixel and the center of the optical axis; and a distortion correcting part which corrects the distortion of the image based on the distortion amount, thereby the image correction device maintaining the angle of view when correcting the image by the magnification and reduction using the distortion characteristics.
