<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet type recording apparatus which can simply select a proper maintenance motion in response to the using environment of the recording apparatus, or the handling by a user at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus is constituted in such a manner that one or more frequency settings for automatic maintenance motions for the head can be selected from a plurality of alternatives.
