<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which color purity can be improved by flattening the surface of an overcoat layer to control a gap according to a designed value. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of an overcoat layer OC is flattened by disposing a light-transmitting resist layer RES in a reflective region REF between arrangements of color filter layers RFIL, GFIL, BFIL of the respective colors formed as segmented by a black matrix layer BM on an inner face of a second substrate SUB2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
