NAVIGATION SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp information by the essential and simple process of changing a display form of an icon depending upon whether facilities are within their opening hours or not without need to perform complicated operations in a navigation technique. SOLUTION: A comparison determination means 30 compares opening hours of facilities to be displayed on a map on the basis of facility information stored in a hard disk drive 5 with a current time acquired on the basis of GPS radio waves and a built-in timer in the system to determine whether the current time lies within or outside their opening hours (comparison determination processing). Icons of facilities in which the current time is determined as lying outside their opening hours as results of the comparison by the comparison determination means 30 are displayed in a mode different from a normal display mode on the map of a display 13 by a display switching means 40 (display switching processing).
