PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply that can set a switching element to be brought into a reverse-bias state, using a small number of components, and switching loss can be suppressed effectively in the switching element. SOLUTION: The switching power supply is so constructed that direct-current input power is converted by the switching operation of switching elements to generate direct-current output power. The switching power supply includes pulse transformers (TP1, TP2) supplied at their primary windings with a pulse signal for switching operation; drive circuits (DRH, DRL) that drive the control electrodes of the switching elements, in response to voltage induced in the secondary windings of the pulse transformers; and reverse bias circuits (RBH, RBL) that reversely bias the switching elements through the drive circuits, based on voltage induced in the secondary windings of the pulse transformers.
