PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security against data leakage by differentiating an image processing apparatus for storing data from an image processing apparatus for data processing in order to prevent the data storage area from easily found. SOLUTION: An image processing system is provided with a setting section 20 for setting reliability relation with other image processing apparatuses 1, and a confirming section 21 for confirming the operation status of the other image processing apparatus 1 when storing the data. An image processing apparatus 1 selected from among the image processing apparatuses 1 having the reliability relation is used as a specific image processing apparatus 1 for storing the data. The image processing apparatus 1 having processed the data confirms whether the specific image processing apparatus 1 is in an operation status, and confirms whether communication is permitted. When the specific image processing apparatus 1 is in an operation status and the communication is permitted, the image processing apparatus 1 transmits the data to the specific image processing apparatus 1.
