PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that can more effectively inhibit the esthetic hindrance by an oily skin. SOLUTION: Under the condition that the composition does not form a water-in-oil type emulsion, the composition containing (a) at least one kind of water-soluble ascorbic acid derivative and (b) porous polyamide particles having a volume-average diameter of less than or equal to 10μm dispersed in a physiologically acceptable medium is cosmetically used for the care of oily skin. The invention also comprises the topical application of the composition that is defined above, and further, the cosmetic process for caring of oily skin, preferably for forming a matify skin.
