PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonflammable decorative panel adhered cleanly with a decorative sheet without loss of the flame-retarding performance of the substrate. SOLUTION: The decorative panel consists of a decorative sheet 3 laminated on a nonflammable substrate 1 through an adhesive 2. The adhesive 2 comprises of an electron-beam-curable resin free of a solvent and an inorganic flame retardant. The inorganic flame retardant does not affect the flame-retarding performance of the decorative panel. Since the electron-beam-curable resin has low viscosity, even small pressing force on lamination of the decorative sheet can spread the adhesive thoroughly and uniformly on the sheet and substrate. The smaller pressing force also reduces the influence of irregularities of the substrate and enables fine adhesion of the decorative sheet because a smaller amount of the adhesive applied smoothes the surfaces, compared with cases involving reactive hot-melts. Instantaneous hardening eliminates secondary defects, e.g. entrainment of dust, also leading to the fine adhesion of the decorative sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
