PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical measuring instrument extracting and outputting a waveform according to a diagnosis purpose out of waveforms acquired from a plurality of detected biosignals. SOLUTION: A pulse detecting device, or the medial measuring instrument, calculates a plurality of types of characteristic amounts such as AI (Augmentation Index) value, ET (Ejection Time), a pulse wave period, MSP acuteness degree and a baseline fluctuation rate (step S5) for every pulse waveform divided from the measured continuous pulse waves (steps S1 and 3). When finishing the measurement, a typical waveform is searched based on the plurality of types of characteristic amount on the calculated pulse waveforms and an applicable pulse waveform is extracted (step S7).
