摘要 A display device is provided to reduce the size of a sub gate driving circuit by enabling the sub gate driving circuit to be operated with fewer transistors than a main gate driving circuit and to minimize the power consumption by preventing the driving frequency of the main and sub gate driving circuit from being increased. A display device comprises an array substrate(110), a color filter substrate(120), a main gate driving circuit(210), a sub gate driving circuit(220) and a data driving circuit. The array substrate comprises main gate lines(GL1-m to GLn-m), sub gate lines(GL1-s to GLn-s), data lines(DL1 to DLm), and pixels. Each pixel is composed of a main pixel, electrically connected to a main gate line and a data line, and a sub pixel, electrically connected to a sub gate line and a data line. The color filter substrate faces the array substrate. The main gate driving circuit sequentially supplies a main gate pulse to each main gate line during a time of 1H. The sub gate driving circuit, sequentially receiving the main gate pulse, sequentially supplies a sub gate pulse to each sub gate line during a time of H/i with the 1H period. The data driving circuit supplies sub pixel voltage to the data lines during the H/i period. Also the data driving circuit supplies main pixel voltage to the data lines during a period of (i-1)H/i.
