PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alter simply, a forcedly air-cooling type heat radiating apparatus allowed for reducing its size and weight, if necessary, into a naturally air-cooling type heat radiating apparatus requiring no maintenance work. SOLUTION: When desiring to alter a forcedly air-cooling type heat radiating apparatus for forcedly radiating the heat generated from a heat generating unit 11 via a heat radiating fin 1 by a cooling fan into a naturally air-cooling type heat radiating apparatus using no cooling fan, a following fin 3 for naturally air-cooling which has the engagement surface engaged with the fin of the heat radiating fin 1 is attached in a way that it is engaged with the heat radiating fin 1. In this case, the fin interval of the heat radiating fin 1 is made narrower than its predetermined interval and also the fin height of its fin is made lower than its predetermined height, while the fin interval of the following fin 3 is made wider than its predetermined interval and also the heat radiating area of its fin is made wider than its predetermined area. Further, the structure wherein a tapered portion is provided in the engagement surface of the heat radiating fin 1 with the following fin 3 may be also used preferably.
