PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an electric power steering device improved in functions thereof by processing signals of a low pass filter to improve responsiveness and to reduce the noise. SOLUTION: The control device of an electric power steering device controls a motor giving the steering assist force to a steering mechanism based on a current control value computed by using a steering assist command value computed based on the steering torque generated in a steering shaft and a current value of the motor. The control device comprises the structure for passing a signal for controlling the steering assist force to the low pass filter 332, and a switching means for switching output by inputting an input signal and an output signal of the low pass filter.
