摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound lathe which can improve machining efficiency and machining accuracy by providing a rotary tool turret capable of driving a large rotary tool at a furthermore high speed. SOLUTION: The rotary tool turret comprises a guide block 5 fixedly connected to a tool rest body 2 via a supporting lever 6 inserted into the hollow hole of an indexing shaft 3, a tool connecting shaft 7 rotatably supported on the guide block by means of bearings 52, 53, a driving shaft 8 to be rotationally driven by a tool motor, and a pair of bevel gears 71, 81 for transmitting the rotation of the driving shaft to the tool connecting shaft 7. The rotary tool turret further comprises nozzle holes 38a, 38b opened toward the active flanks of the bevel gears 71, 81, a fluid coupling 69 for supplying the air including drops of oil to the supporting lever 6, and a through hole 37 which is formed in the supporting lever 6 and the guide block 5 and communicates the nozzle holes 38a, 38b with the fluid coupling 69. Further, a cooling fluid jacket is provided to cool the outer race side of the bearings 52, 53 and a bearing 63 rotatably supporting the end portion of the driving shaft 8 located on the side of the guide block 5.
