<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic reproduction system for obtaining a more natural multi-channel surround sound field by automatically adjusting reproduction sounds, which are issued from speakers at offset positions relative to a listener, so as to mutually have positive phases. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a phase adjuster 2 supplying a left channel sound signal Lin and a right channel sound signal Rin to the respective front speakers FL, FR arranged at the front left and right offset positions after relatively shifting the phases of the left and right channel sound signals by a phase π which corresponds to a time difference to be required for the reproduction sounds to be issued from the respective speakers FL, FR to reach the left and right ears of the listener within a frequency range (200Hz-500Hz) in the case where both the inter-ear correlation functions of the reproduction sounds to be issued from the front speakers FL, FR become small.
