摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving adhesiveness between a catalyst electrode layer and an electrolyte membrane, in an MEA of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell and the fuel cell is provided with an electrolyte membrane, a first catalyst electrode layer which contains an electrolyte and is formed on one surface of the electrolyte membrane and a second catalyst electrode layer formed on the opposite surface of the electrolyte membrane. The fuel cell system has a gas supplying part which supplies, when in a usual operation, oxide gas to the first catalyst electrode layer and supplies fuel gas to the second catalyst electrode layer to generate power with the first catalyst electrode layer as a cathode and the second catalyst electrode layer as an anode, and supplies, when in an unusual operation, the fuel gas to the first catalyst electrode layer and the oxide gas to the second catalyst electrode layer to generate power with the first catalyst electrode layer as the anode and the second catalyst electrode layer as the cathode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
