IC CARD WITH LANGUAGE CODEC, METHOD AND TERMINAL OF PREVENTING CHARACTER CORRUPTION

An IC(Integrated Circuit) card with a language CODEC, a method of preventing character distortion and a terminal are provided to allow a user to see a text message and a directory stored in his IC card without having character distortion irrespective of conditions of a terminal into which the IC card is inserted. An IC card(310) with a language CODEC includes an information storage unit(320) and a CODEC storage unit(330). The information storage unit stores text information corresponding to a user of the IC card. The CODEC storage unit stores the language CODEC. The language CODEC supports a language corresponding to the text information. The text information includes information on the type of the language CODEC required to decode the text information.
