An electronic apparatus having a memory card and a memory card resetting method of the electronic apparatus are provided to block power supplied to the memory card in a software manner, and then re-supply the power such that the memory card is easily out of an inactive state and users easily use the memory card. An electronic apparatus includes a power supply(170) and a card interface(180). The power supply provides power to a memory card(190). The card interface interrupts the power supplied from the power supply, and then re-supplies the power to the memory card. The electronic apparatus further includes a controller(160) which interrupts the power supplied from the power supply and then controls the card interface when it is determined that the memory card enters an inactive state.
