<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs to be spent on the functional diagnosis/functional evaluation of an image processor, and to shorten the time. <P>SOLUTION: In this functional diagnostic method and system of an image processor, the functional diagnosis of the image processor is performed by generating a test image, an inspection recipe, and an inspection sequence by an external personal computer, and using them by the image processor.
