<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fuel consumption/emission of exhaust gas and facilitate on-time operation of a route bus by reduction of intersection stopping frequency/stopping time of the route bus or by effective execution of idling stop. <P>SOLUTION: In a route bus of idling stop specification, the intersection stopping frequency of the route bus which is to pass through a bus stop toward an intersection or to start after stopping at the bus stop is reduced by limiting the permission of passing through or starting from the bus stop to a time at which the bus can pass through the intersection on a green signal without stopping by general traveling of the bus up to the intersection, and the propriety of idling stop is determined according to the residual time quantity up to the starting permission time after stopping at the bus stop, whereby the effect of idling stop is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
