<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device excellent in fitting properties by securing required friction force between a key lock collar and a steering shaft without requiring high dimensional accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular steering lock device locks rotation of the steering shaft 1 by inserting the key lock collar 3 formed with a key groove 3a onto the steering shaft 1 for fixation, and engaging a fixed key 4 with the key groove 3a of the key lock collar 3. The key lock collar 3 is inserted onto the periphery of the steering shaft 1, and structured so that both axial end surfaces thereof are received by the steering shaft 11 in the condition wherein the key lock collar 3 is compressed in the axial direction. For example, one end surface of the key lock collar 3 is made to abut on a flange (a projecting part) 2 of the steering shaft 1, and the collar 5 is made to abut on the other surface of the key lock collar 3, and nuts 6 and 7 to be screwed to the steering shaft 1 are fastened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
