PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a multiplex spectrum image which raises the quality of the image by modeling the spectrum dependence of the image based on prior knowledge about the contribution of Compton scattering and photoelectric absorption in matter and in addition by using this prior knowledge. SOLUTION: A method is provided to form the multiplex spectrum image of a subject (18). This measure includes a step (70) which obtains measuring data in two or more X-ray energy levels and a step (72) which demarcates two or more image voxels in one or two or more domains which compose the subject. Subsequently, this measure includes a step (74) which obtains prior information relevant to the two or more image voxels which compose the subject. The prior information is defined by a bond probability density function (PDF) between two or more base components. This measure further includes a step (76) which reconstructs the measuring data so as to form the multiplex spectrum reconstructed image of the subject based on the prior information.
