PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate inserting and extracting tool that can prevent slack of a substrate, facilitating fitting operation of the same, and reducing the frequency of extraction of the substrate due to misoperations. SOLUTION: A substrate insertion/extraction tool 1 is provided with a fixing member 2 that is fixed to a substrate B and a lever member 4, that is rotatably fitted to the fixing member 2 via a rotating shaft 3, and is used for the insertion or extraction of the substrate B. The lever member 4 is provided with a screw 5, that is capable of advancing/retreating in the direction of crossing the extending direction toward the fixing member 2. In the fixing member 2, a nut member 8, having a screw fastening hole 7 with a screw groove formed, is arranged at a position enabling advancing of the screw. The screw fastening hole 7 is spring-activated to make the bore diameter variable; and when it is a state with the substrate B inserted, the screw 5 is pressed against, to cause the screw fastening hole 7 to advance, and the lever member 4 is constituted capable of being screw-fastened to the fixing member 2.
