PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of smoothly dividing the flow of a refrigerant, having superior assembling performance for the heat exchanger, having high overall heat transfer coefficient, and suitably used for a high-pressure refrigerant circuit, such as CO<SB>2</SB>. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger is a plate type and is constituted by arranging a plurality of heat exchanging elements, respectively provided with a tubular passage as a refrigerant flow channel and a header portion.
