PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thermal degradation of a capacitor element formed by using a resin film while lowering the profile of a component. SOLUTION: The capacitor comprises a base mount 1 having an upper surface as a mounting surface 1a, a capacitor element 2 consisting of a resin film arranged on the mounting surface 1a of the base mount 1, a topped tubular case 3 having an open lower surface attached to the base mount 1 to cover the capacitor element 2, and a sealing body 4 attached between the opening in the lower surface of the case 3 and the base mount 1, wherein the capacitor element 2 is formed into oblong shape having electrodes 2a at the opposite ends, and the electrodes 2a at the opposite ends of the capacitor element 2 are connected electrically with terminals 5 planted on the base mount 1.
