PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to confirm or return the contents of a received mail without taking out a portable terminal from a pocket or the like even in a crowded place such as a crowded train where motion is restricted. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 10 transmits voice guidance including the reception of a mail and the contents of reading request operation to an earphone microphone 20 at the reception of the mail, and when a user performs reading request operation, converts the contents of the received mail into a voice and transmits the voice to the earphone microphone 20. Then the portable terminal 10 transmits the voice guidance of return request operation contents to the earphone microphone 20, and when the user performs the return request operation, transmits voice guidance for selecting a return message to the earphone microphone 20, and generates and transmits a return mail using a return message extracted in accordance with user's selecting operation as a text.
