PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high speed of a product-forging by forging a hole for lightening the weight on a flange part with high positioning accuracy with respect to a pre-process blank having the flange part at the outer periphery of a boss part, with a horizontal forging machine. SOLUTION: The conveyed pre-process blank 10' is stopped to rotate around the axis so that this center is not deviated while held between a first holding shaft 23 and a second holding shaft 32, and pushed into a die 20 while kept in such a state. In this way, a piercing precision to the flange part 12 is ensured, and as a result, the defective insertion of the pre-process blank 10' into the die 20 is prevented. A punch-out waste 41, in which the piercing is performed with the shearing work to the flange part 12' with the die 20 and a punch 30, is passed through a discharge port 36 communicating with the outside of the die so as to drop down onto a carrying conveyor B before separating a product 10 from the die.
