<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for accurately matching the front and back positions of an image by surely detecting a reference mark with high accuracy, even when a low-resolution and low reading speed sensor is used. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with the reference mark A11 in a V-shape composed of a straight line A121, and a straight line A122 and which is symmetric with respect to a central line D, which is parallel to a conveying direction K for recording material. That is, the straight line A121 as a first straight line is provided at an angle α with respect to the central line D, the straight line A122 as a second straight line is provided at an angle β (=-α) with respect to the central line D, and the straight line A121 and the straight line A122 intersect at an intersection point C on the central line D. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
