PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a drying process of a hydrogel of a water-soluble polymer achieving a high drying efficiency and a short drying time by controlling the occurrence of caking. SOLUTION: The drying process of a hydrogel of a water-soluble polymer conducts the drying in two steps. The primary drying step uses continuous vibration dryer 51. The micronized water-soluble polymer hydrogel is placed on the drying deck, shook with a shaking stroke of≥4 mm and blown with hot air from underneath of the drying deck.
