PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal apparatus capable of simply and surely preventing the leakage of user data. SOLUTION: The portable terminal apparatus is provided with an automatic erasing target data specification means (M27) for specifying the sort of user data to be automatically erased and an automatic erasing time interval specification means (M23) for setting a time interval for automatically erasing the user data of the specified sort and performs operation for logically erasing the user data of the sort specified as the automatic erasing target. The portable terminal apparatus is provided with a function (M2D) for restoring logically automatically erased user data and reusing the restored data when a menu number (4-digit code) for requesting the restoration of the data is input.
