PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more simplify user's operation in rewriting data transferred from peripheral equipment to a computer again in the original peripheral equipment even when a plurality of pieces of peripheral equipment are connected. SOLUTION: The computer is provided with a CPU 11 for preparing equipment information for describing equipment identification information including the category identification information of the equipment, individual piece of identification information and a data storing destination holder name when the equipment has a data storage medium in newly connecting peripheral equipment through a USB interface 20 and managing the equipment information in an HDD 22, storing data sent from the peripheral equipment together with information indicating the peripheral equipment, and when a data write-back is specified, receiving the specification, retrieving equipment information corresponding to the specified data, automatically setting the peripheral equipment which is the write-back destination of the specified data and a holder name in the equipment on the basis of the retrieved equipment information, and writing back the data to the peripheral equipment.
