PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic toner for electrostatic charge image development, the toner having sufficient charging property and excellent durability and balancing low temperature fixing property and heat-resistant storage property, and to provide a developer, a toner container and an image forming apparatus using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner (1) has a structure comprising a core portion (4) containing at least a colorant (2) and a binder resin (A), and a shell portion (5) comprising at least a binder resin (B) covering the core portion, and is characterized in that: the binder resin (A) contains a resin component having at least a polyester skeleton; the binder resin (B) contains at least a vinyl copolymer resin; and the shell portion contains a laminar inorganic mineral in which interlayer ions possessed by at least the laminar inorganic mineral is at least partially modified by organic ions.
