PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens designed so that an aberration is satisfactorily corrected and an optical characteristic is excellent in an optical system that has a small size and a narrow view angle. SOLUTION: The imaging lens includes, in order from the object side: a first lens group having main refractive power; an aperture diaphragm; and a second lens group having refractive power lower than the first lens group. The imaging lens satisfies following conditional formulas: (1) ¾f/fi¾<0.50; and (2) 0.85<TL/f<1.1, wherein f represents the focal distance of the entire system; fi (i=1, 2, and so on) represents the focal distance of i-th lens from the object side; and TL represents the entire length of a lens system from the aperture diaphragm to an image face.
