PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice washer comprised of a rice washing device and a sink disposed below the rice washing device so that space below the rice washing device can be effectively used, which rice washing device is designed to be readily movable upon moving it from a position for discharging rice to a waiting position. SOLUTION: The rice washer equipped with a rice washing device 2 that washes rice and discharges it into a receiving container 11 and a sink 6 of a sink table 4 disposed below the rice washing device 2 in which sink 6 the receiving container 11 can be placed is characterized in that the rice washing device 2 is made movable from a position for discharging washed rice into the receiving container 11 to waiting positions A, B, with the waiting position A located above the position for discharging the washed rice and the waiting position B located on either the left side or the right side thereof and a handle 37 to be used by an operator for moving the rice washing device 2 to the waiting position A or B is attached thereto.
