PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a force measuring device having a cost-effective measurement standard that is useful in providing appropriate and precise reference quantity, a reference current and a reference voltage. SOLUTION: The force measurement device 1000 includes a measuring instrument 100 and the measurement standard 100R, where the latter is useful in providing reference quantity, reference currents, and reference voltages for enabling measurement of a force to be measured that is to be decided. In first reference coils 1R, 1Ra to which a reference mass is attached and a reference current is produced in accordance with the principle of electromagnetic compensation, the reference current is adjusted by measuring and adjusting devices 3R, 4R, and retained by a reference lever 105R; and the measurement standard is a force measurement device that enables generation of a magnetic filed in which the reference current cooperates with the magnetic field of a reference magnet 2R and applies magnetic force to the reference lever.
