<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating object sealing device of a brush seal type for reducing the contacting frequency of linear bodies with a rotating object while securing sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: The rotating object sealing device 1 comprises a brush seal 2 which is mounted on a steam turbine having the rotating object (a rotating shaft) 7 and a stationary object (a casing) 8, in which the number of bunched linear bodies 3 are annularly arranged as a whole over an circular outer face portion 71 of the rotating object 7, and which has a side face 21 on the high pressure side to which high steam pressure is applied and a side face 22 on the low pressure side to which low steam pressure is applied, and an annular supporting part 4 for mounting the brush seal 2 on the stationary object 8. The supporting part 4 has a holder 41 which abuts on an outer peripheral portion of the side face 21, and a back plate 5 having a supporting face 51 which abuts on an outer peripheral portion of the side face 22, a stepped face 52 stepped from the supporting face 51, and circular through-holes 55 formed at circumferentially equal intervals in a terminal portion of the stepped face 52 on the side of the supporting face 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
