<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus designed so that, for example, handicapped people using a wheel chair can easily set a document or take it out or perform a reading operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image reading section 23 that reads the image of a document; an apparatus body section 22 that has an image forming part for forming the image read by the image reading section 23 onto a sheet; and a movable support member 24 that supports the image reading section 23 so as to be freely moved between a first operating position P1 located above the apparatus body section 22 and a second operating position P2 located lower than the first operating position P1 and projecting in a prescribed direction from the apparatus body section 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
