PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently operate an aerosol collecting mechanism 300 by an electric field at a recording part 110. SOLUTION: The recording part 110 is equipped with a conveyance part 220 which conveys a recording paper 150, a recording head which is conveyed by a reciprocal carriage 250 in a scan direction to jet an ink, an absorbing member 236 which absorbs the ink not adhered to the recording paper 150, an electrode 310 arranged adjacent to the absorbing member 236, a voltage source 270 which applies a voltage to the electrode 310, and a control part 260 which starts or stops the voltage application. The recording part 110 records an image formed by the ink to the recording paper 150 by alternately operating the conveyance part 220 and the recording head. The control part 260 stops the voltage application if jetting of the ink by the recording head is stopped, and starts the voltage application if jetting of the ink by the recording head is started during a series of actions of recording the image to the recording paper 150.
