PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the necessity of acquiring a uniform vendor name and/or product model name when there are different vendor names and/or product model names. SOLUTION: This is a method for acquiring information on a monitored device connected to a network in a communication-enabled manner, using an HTTP communication protocol. The method comprises: a step for acquiring a web page address and a plurality of corresponding model names; a step for accessing the web page using the acquired web page address; a step for analyzing the accessed web page to find at least one of the plurality of the model names; and, when one of the model names is found in the step for analyzing the accessed web page, a step for standardizing the found model as the model name of the monitored device.
