PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running facility for a mobile body capable of avoiding collision between mobile objects by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This running facility for a mobile body is provided with: a pair of mobile bodies 3a and 3b having running drive means SM1 and SM2, and running and moving along a running path in an ended form; a one-side distance detection means DET1 detecting a distance d1 between one-side reference position and the mobile body 3a; an other-side distance detection means DET2 detecting a distance d2 between the other-side reference position and the mobile body 3b; and a control means H controlling the running operations of the pair of mobile bodies 3a and 3b based on detection information D1 and D2 of the detection means. The one-side mobile body 3a is provided with a relative distance detection means DET3 detecting a distance d3 between the other-side mobile body 3b and itself; and the running of the pair of mobile bodies 3a and 3b is stopped when the control means H determines that the detection information D1 and D2 and the detection information D3 do not satisfy conditions for proper determination based on distance information d4 between the one-side reference position and the other-side reference position.
