PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ammonium salt further increasing the conductivity of a detergent compared with conventional salt. SOLUTION: The ammonium salt is expressed by formula (1) (R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each an alkyl, an alkoxyalkyl or an alkenyl; either two of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>may be bonded together to form a ring together with a nitrogen atom; R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are not the same at the same time; Y<SP>1</SP>, Y<SP>2</SP>and Y<SP>3</SP>are same or different and each independently a hydrogen atom, fluorine atom or a trifluoromethyl group, provided that at least one of Y<SP>1</SP>, Y<SP>2</SP>and Y<SP>3</SP>is fluorine atom or a trifluoromethyl group).
