PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch antenna which can be reduced in height by minimizing convexity in the feeding point thereof. SOLUTION: The patch antenna (10C) comprises: a dielectric substrate (12A) having a top face (12u) and a bottom face (12d) which face each other and a through hole (12a) penetrated through the dielectric substrate from the top to bottom faces at a predetermined position; an antenna emission electrode (14) formed on the top face of the dielectric substrate; a ground electrode (16) formed on the bottom face of the dielectric substrate; and a feed pin (18) with one end (18a) connected to the antenna emission electrode at a predetermined position, and the other end (18b) extracted to the bottom face side of the dielectric substrate via the through hole. The dielectric substrate (12A) is formed with the cavity (121) which is formed at the top face side and is essentially concentric with the through hole (12a) and has an inner diameter larger than the diameter of the through hole.
