PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit data read with a scanner not via an information terminal to a prescribed network server. SOLUTION: Reservation is requested to a server 10 from a PC 30 so as to permit reception of data. When the server 10 permits reception of the data, reception permission information including information to specify the server 10 is transmitted to the PC 30 from the server 10. The PC 30 prints the received reception permission information onto a sheet, and makes the scanner 50 read it, and makes the scanner 50 recognize the reception permission information. Prescribed information included in the reception permission information is transmitted to the server 10 while associated with data read with the scanner 50 and. When the prescribed information received by the server 10 coincides with information included in the reception permission information transmitted to the PC 30 from the server 10, the server 10 receives the received data.
