PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording device that can be used easily by a user and can dub video data on an external storage medium more efficiently. SOLUTION: The digital broadcasting recording device 100 comprises: a dubbing reservation data file 12B for storing the title of a program dubbed onto a DVD, and the number or amount of program data of titles stored in the dubbing reservation data file 12B on an HDD 6 as starting conditions; a determination program 12E for allowing a CPU 10 to determine whether the number or amount of program data stored on the HDD 6 that are program data of which dubbing is reserved has reached the starting conditions stored at the dubbing reservation data file 12B; and a dubbing program 12I for dubbing the program data concerned on a DVD, when it is determined that the number or amount of program data concerned has reached the starting conditions stored in the dubbing reservation data file 12B.
