PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fusion bonding of terminal parts of works continuously transferred in an induction heating device which is used for heating a work such as a forging material to a prescribed temperature. SOLUTION: The induction heating device has induction heating coils arranged in the axial direction and carries out induction heating while moving a work such as a billet in the coils from an entrance side to the exit. The induction heating coils are constructed of a plurality of coils arranged in a column shape and mutually insulated, and the winding direction and the current flowing direction of adjoining coils are made in mutually reverse direction.
