PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of videos to be connectable without inserting an excessive video and to prevent recording of a postroll section. SOLUTION: When AUTO EDIT command is received, a preroll is carried out up to an IN point for starting the recording operation, and a playback is started. When the playback is attained up to the IN point, a recording operation is started. When the recording operation is started, the recording continues until reaching an OUT point for finishing the recording operation. When attaining the OUT point, the judgment is made whether the setting is being carried out so as to record the postroll section. When the postroll section is set so as not to be recorded, the recording is finished, and when the postroll section is set so as to be recorded, the recording is finished after the recording of the postroll section is continued.
